The 2025 Toyota Camry ushers in the ninth generation of this legendary nameplate, and there’s a lot to be excited about. With changes across the board, from a new hybrid-only lineup to an updated interior, this Camry is ready to shake things up.

Powertrain
The Camry has always been good at keeping up with the times, and in 2025, it’s proving it again. Now hybrid-only, it’s ditched the gas-only engines and old hybrid setup for the all-new Toyota Hybrid System. At the core is a reworked 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine putting out 184 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque on its own, boosted to 225 horsepower with the hybrid system, or 232 if you opt for all-wheel drive (a first for the Camry hybrid).
Here’s what that means in real terms: the front-wheel-drive 2025 Camry gains up to 17 horsepower over its predecessors, out-muscles the 2025 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid by 33 horsepower, and edges out the 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid by 21. And if you’re going for all-wheel drive, the numbers tip even further in the 2025 Camry’s favor. As for gas mileage, the Camry delivers up to an estimated 51 mpg combined.
Handling and Suspension
Thanks to its improved suspension system, the 2025 Camry is quiet at highway speeds and feels solid and secure over bumps. The XSE and SE grades, being the sportier models, get sport-tuned shock absorbers, a beefier front stabilizing bar, and larger wheels for a more engaging drive. Plus, the new braking system offers even more control, with on-demand pressurization from a new pump motor in the brake actuator.
Interior
Comfort takes center stage inside the 2025 Camry, and you’ll notice it as soon as you sit down. The seats have been upgraded with a new shape, denser foam, and longer cushions, making them more comfortable than ever before. The headrests have also been softened and moved slightly rearward to improve seat ergonomics.
For even more comfort, higher-end grades add ventilated front seats, premium seating surfaces, memory function for the driver’s seat and exterior mirrors, noise-reducing front-side glass, and, for the first in a Camry hybrid, a panoramic roof with a power-retractable sunshade.
Technology and Safety Features
Standard equipment on the 2025 Camry includes a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, an eight-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and five USB ports. For the XLE and XSE grades, a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster are standard. Available features include a ten-inch head-up display and a nine-speaker audio system from JBL.
