Design

The Tacoma TRD Pro hybrid has a Double Cab and a 5-foot bed. Interior standard features include a power tilting and sliding moonroof with a sliding sunshade, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel with phone, infotainment, and driver assist controls, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. The dual-zone climate system with air filtration has individual settings for the front row and rear-seat vents. The rear under-seat storage has adjustable partitions.

The Tacoma hybrid’s exterior looks sharp with its high-clearance front bumper, front grille with integrated light bar, LED fog lights, and black performance exhaust. Power-folding heated side mirrors have integrated turn signals, blind spot warning indicators, and reverse tilt-down. The driver’s mirror also has anti-glare. A 2300W/120V AC power supply is mounted in the truck bed.

Performance

The 2024 Tacoma hybrid has a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder turbo hybrid powertrain delivering 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed electronically controlled intelligent automatic transmission includes sequential shift mode and uphill/downhill shift logic. The TRD Pro is 4-wheel drive with an off-road suspension. Multi-Terrain Select offers Crawl Control and Downhill Assist Control.

A Class-IV towing hitch receiver, wiring harness, and 7-pin/4-pin connector are standard, as is a Trailer Backup Guide, Trailer Camera Blind Spot Monitor, and Integrated Trailer Brake Controller with Multi-Information Display. Trailer-Sway and Hill Start Assist Control are also included.

Technology

A 10-speaker JBL audio system and a 3-month trial SiriusXM subscription are standard in the Tacoma hybrid. The infotainment system features a 14-inch multimedia display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a portable Bluetooth speaker with a subwoofer and amplifier. Digital key capability, a Qi-compatible wireless charger, and dual USB-C charging ports are also included.

In addition to the 12.3-inch digital information display, the TRD Pro comes with a Head-Up display and 3D Multi-Terrain Monitor. You’ll also get trial subscriptions to a WiFi Connect hotspot for 30 days or 3GB, Remote Connect and Drive Connect for one year, and Safety Connect for up to 10 years.
