The 2025 Toyota Highlander has a great selection of trims available, with every non-hybrid trim powered by a four-cylinder engine producing 265 hp. Every trim has standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive, and they all have a range of standard driver assistance features.

Toyota Highlander Heath, OH

LE

The base trim starts us off with some great features, including tri-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an 8-inch infotainment display, and a 7-inch multi-information display. It has LED headlights and 18-inch painted alloy wheels. Its convenience features include a height-adjustable power liftgate and keyless entry and ignition.

XLE

The XLE ups the comfort by adding heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. It adds more convenience in the form of a hands-free liftgate, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You can choose either captain’s chairs or a bench seat for the second row.

A hybrid version of the XLE is available, as is a variation called the XLE Nightshade. The XLE Nightshade is also a hybrid, and it adds black exterior accents, black-painted wheels with black lug nuts, and black two-tone front row seats with silver contrast stitching.

XSE

Drivers interested in a sportier vehicle should take a look at the XSE, which comes with a sport-tuned MacPherson strut front suspension and unique sporty elements that enhance its appearance. These appearance changes include a large mesh front grille and a redesigned front bumper and lower spoiler. In addition to those new features, it’s got 20-inch black alloy wheels and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.

Limited

We’re getting into luxury territory with the Limited. It gives you a choice of a second-row bench or captain’s chairs. Its infotainment display is 12.3 inches in size. It has a standard 11-speaker JBL audio system and an intercom system that lets you speak to rear-row passengers through the vehicle’s speakers. The heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats, the upholstery is leather, and the driver’s seat gains a memory function.

Two hybrid versions of this trim are available. One shares all its features with the non-hybrid trim, excluding the powertrain, and the other is the Limited 25th Edition. The 25th Edition adds a unique 25th Edition rear liftgate badge and has 25th Edition embossed leather front headrests, floor mats, and a cargo liner.

Platinum

The top trim is available with a gas or hybrid powertrain. It builds on the Limited and adds a panoramic sunroof, adaptive headlights, and heated second-row seats. It’s got a head-up display that projects your driving stats onto the windshield, and it has a digital rearview mirror that can be used as both a camera display and a normal mirror. It also has a surround-view camera system for an even better view of your surroundings.
