2023 Toyota Tundra
If you're in the market for a full-size pickup truck, consider the 2023 Toyota Tundra. This truck offers smooth power from the turbocharged V-6, easy-to-use controls, and a standard composite bed that limits scratches and dents without needing a bedliner. Check out the best features inside and out that have truck enthusiasts raving about the 2023 Toyota Tundra.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Toyota Tundra is sold in seven trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, TRD Pro, and Capstone. You can customize your Tundra with various packages, including the SX, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road. The SR starts with LED headlights, a sheet-molded compound composite bed, and 18-inch steel wheels. Moving up to the SR5 adds LED fog lights and alloy wheels. You also get the Towing package with a Class IV trailer hitch, integrated trailer brake controller, and four-pin and seven-pin trailer connectors.
The Limited rolls down the road on 20-inch wheels, while the Platinum adds premium LED headlights. You get unique badges and accents to pay tribute to the ranch style on the 1794 Edition. For the TRD Pro, you get skid plates and 18-inch TRD wheels with all-terrain tires. Finally, the Capstone features Capstone-exclusive exterior trim, power-deployable running boards, and 22-inch wheels.
Engine (Power)
Toyota offers one engine for the 2023 Tundra, although some trims pair it with a hybrid for additional power output. You get a turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This combination delivers 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. The same engine is matched to a battery-electric hybrid system, standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone, and available on the Limited, Platinum, and 1794. With the hybrid system, the same engine produces 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Performance-enhancing features improve the drive of the 2023 Toyota Tundra. A stop-and-start engine system helps conserve fuel by shutting the engine down when idling. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with four-wheel drive with low-range gearing available for better performance over treacherous terrain. On the TRD Pro, you get off-road-ready features such as Fox suspension dampers, a rear locking differential, Crawl Control, and a 1.1-inch front suspension lift.
Interior
When you open the door to the 2023 Toyota Tundra, you'll discover an inviting interior with many comfort and convenience features. The SR has proximity keyless entry with a push-button start and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the SR5 adds a rear center armrest with cup holders. The Limited gets you heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, a digital instrument panel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a tailgate release button, and a 14-inch touchscreen.
Upgrading to the Platinum adds a premium JBL sound system, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, a household-style outlet in the cabin, rear door shades, a power-adjustable and heated steering wheel, and ambient lighting. You can enjoy sound-reducing front windows for a quieter drive on the Capstone.
Safety Features
Toyota knows safety and driver-assistance features are important when purchasing a truck, so the 2023 Tundra features Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. Features of this suite include forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and a lane-keeping system. An advanced airbag system is also standard across all trims. Additional features include a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera system, and a head-up display.
